Florida: Runaway youngsters, aged 12 and 14, use AK-47 in shootout with sheriff’s deputies

Two runaway youngsters broke right into a Florida home and used an AK-47 in a shootout with sheriff’s deputies.

The boy, 12, and lady, 14, discovered the weapons in a home in Enterprise after operating away from the Florida United Methodist Kids’s Residence.

There have been 4 exchanges of gunfire over 35 minutes and Volusia County sheriff’s workplace stated the lady was shot and wounded after pointing a shotgun at them.

“The 12-year-old boy, armed with an AK-47, lastly put down his weapon shortly thereafter and was not injured,” a press release stated.

“Deputies did every part they may tonight to de-escalate, and so they nearly misplaced their lives to a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old,” stated Volusia County sheriff Mike Chitwood.

The home contained an AK-47 assault rifle, a handgun, shotgun and round 200 rounds of ammunition.

The youngsters ran away from the house on Tuesday afternoon and members of the general public raised the alarm after listening to breaking glass on the home.

Officers surrounded the property and it was then that the shootout started.

The lady underwent surgical procedure and is in a steady situation and no sheriff’s deputies have been harm, authorities stated.

Unspecified expenses are being introduced in opposition to the kids.
