Loki Season 2 Spoilers!
No matter what kind of Loki you encounter or where you find them, they all share one important trait: they’re always fighting to stay alive.
It appears that Marvel’s TV series, starring Tom Hiddleston, will be returning for a second season as well.
Hiddleston told Marvel.com in July 2021 in response to the confirmation: “I’m so glad we got to complete season one; I’m not sure I’m ready to accept the fact that we’ll be doing it again. I’m giddy with anticipation for what’s to come. We’ve already started talking about it. Discussions that go on and on and on. To begin, I’m eager to begin.”
As part of this interview, Loki’s actor also proclaimed: “We wouldn’t have been able to produce a second season without the support of our fans. There was a lot I didn’t see coming in season one. In season two, I’m expecting to see even more.”
Even Loki would have a hard time making season one weirder than season two, so don’t expect it to be any weirder than that.
Loki writer-producer Michael Waldron remarked, “I don’t sure if we could go any weirder than we did in season one” (via Polygon). “An alligator once drank wine from a kiddie pool that we had. Weirdness ascended to new heights with that encounter. In my opinion, this is ripe with potential.”
“Our desire to outdo ourselves is always fueled by a need to show our character. No notion is too outlandish, as I learned from [Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness]. Stephen Strange can possess his corpse, and you may end up shooting it. This gives me the confidence to try new things.”
We found out about this news seconds after the first season concluded, so we’ll either have to work out a deal with the TVA to travel back in time (though we doubt they’ll let us) or wait it out until the second season begins to air.

Loki Season 2 Plot
A new Time Variance Authority was created for Loki Season 1, where the same people worked, but they had no idea who he was. This TVA was also completely under the control of Kang.
The second season will have a slew of options to explore given the finale’s open-ended nature.
Mobius might reintroduce Loki and interrogate him for the second time in Season 2 of Loki. After Loki discovers Kang the Conqueror’s true identity and the dangers he poses to the cosmos and its various timelines, he may join forces with Mobius.
Mobius may learn all that Loki knows about He Who Remains via their new partnership.
If this is the case, we’ll finally get a better look at the TVA’s complicated moralities in Loki Season 2, which will be the first time we’ve seen them in action.
As Loki grows into the hero we all know he can be, he has the option of killing He Who Remains, following Sylvie’s lead. We could even imagine Sylvie attempting to reunite with Loki in this regard.
Casey and Renslayer, for example, may be introduced in the upcoming season. Kang the Conqueror’s love interest, Renslayer, is shown in the comic books.

Loki Season 2 Release Date
Even though a release date for Loki Season 2 has not been announced, rumors suggest that it will begin streaming in the early years of 2023.
It was first reported in 2021 that principal photography would not begin until at least 2023, but recent updates from various sources and members of the cast themselves suggest that principal photography may begin at any time this year, with a new report saying that the season will begin production on June 6, 2022. Early in June, the series’ cinematographer announced on Instagram that filming had indeed begun on schedule.

Once production begins, the first episodes might air in the first quarter of 2023, if all goes according to plan.
Loki Season 2 Cast
However, apart from Loki himself, there have so far been only a few confirmations about who will be returning to reprise their roles in Loki Season 2.
Agent Mobius is still being played by Owen Wilson, and Tom Hiddleston and Gugu Mbatha-Raw will return to reprise their roles as Loki and Ravonna Renslayer, respectively.
Certain cast members may also return following the conclusion of the first season’s storyline.
After encountering her alternate reality form of Wunmi Mosaku and Loki in another Time Variance Authority that exists in an alternate universe, Wunmi Mosaku may return as Hunter B-15. Ravonna Renslayer’s narrative may be explored more in the second season as Gugu Mbatha-Raw sets out to discover who is feeding her lies. Though He Who Remains did it, the season’s final episodes proved that Sylvie was the one who put an end to it.
Eugene Cordero may reprise his role as Casey, the lovable TVA employee. Tara Strong, who played the iconic Miss Minutes, could potentially make a comeback.
It’s unclear what will happen to Sylvie out of all the characters and Loki variations. Sylvie ultimately achieved her goal of murdering He Who Remains in Season 1, but it came at a high cost. However, there have been no formal indications that Sylvie’s actress, Sophia Di Martino, will return for Loki Season 2.
