Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have tied the knot for the second time. The couple first tied the knot in a private ceremony in Las Vegas, and ET can reveal that they later re-exchanged their vows in front of friends and family in Georgia.
Apparently, ET has learned that the evening’s ceremonies are over. On Saturday morning, the flurry of activity started as guests celebrated in the foyer of The Perry Lane Hotel in Savannah, Georgia before boarding waiting shuttles. According to ET’s source, a hotel employee walked into the lobby and opened a bottle of champagne. Another guest at the wedding proclaimed, “I’m ready!” when they were handed their champagne.
On Saturday, the pair celebrated their second wedding at Affleck’s mansion in Riceboro, Georgia, and a source told ET that all of the attendees wore white. According to a witness’s report on Entertainment Tonight, “Guests were gathering at The Perry Lane Hotel [in Savannah] to proceed to Jennifer and Ben’s wedding.” That’s what the source said. “There is a lot of variety in the dress code, but everyone wears white. The women wear mostly white dresses and gowns, while the men wear mostly white suits, most of which are made of linen. Women wear a white fringe leather jacket and a glittering cowboy hat, while the males wear white shorts and sneakers.”
Guests reportedly showed their IDs to the shuttle drivers before boarding. Participants took pictures to remember the event while they waited. Kevin Smith, a filmmaker known for rarely wearing anything other than jerseys, subsequently posted a photo of himself wearing one to Twitter. In a tweet, he wrote, “This is the most formally I’ve been dressed since maybe 7th grade First Communion.”
The officiant, Jay Shetty, wore a gleaming white leather bow tie and a pair of opal white leather dress shoes. A dark automobile picked him up as he was carrying his cell phone, sunglasses, pen, and journal.
A source told ET that Ben and Jen stayed calm and collected despite the chaos that ensued on the final day of preparations for a wedding fit for two A-listers (including Ben’s mother’s trip to the hospital).
“Both Ben and Jen have been incredibly accommodating this whole weekend. From the limousine shuttle service business on up, they have been nothing but kind and helpful “a reliable source told me. “Their affection for one another and ease in one another’s the company is palpable. They plan to keep the party going all weekend long, surrounded by their closest friends and family.”
While the mid-July Las Vegas ceremony was “beautiful and a dream come true,” a source told ET that Lopez and Affleck were “planning to hold a larger celebration soon with family and friends to honor their love in a grander way.”
They “will definitely be having a grander wedding ceremony and celebration that includes close families, friends, and loved ones,” a second insider confirmed to ET about Lopez and Affleck’s upcoming nuptials.
In an interview with ET, a third party revealed some additional information regarding the couple’s future plans, saying, “The newlyweds haven’t done much partying since they’re saving their energy for a bigger event in the coming weeks. They both have been married before, so they chose to have a low-key ceremony and then throw a big party in Georgia to celebrate.”
While the pair was “in wedding planning mode” after their Vegas ceremony, another insider claims that they are “truly just enjoying the now, right now.”
“They’ve been planning things together, but Jen obviously has her own vision and is heading the wedding planning train,” said their second insider.
